Halloween week in South Charlotte comes with several free events before the weekend. Here's what is on the calendar from Tuesday to Saturday, with details from the organizers. Plans can change, so check the linked pages before you head out.

Free outdoor workout in SouthPark (Tue., Oct. 27)

The last class of the free Fall Fitness Series on the SouthPark Loop is Tuesday evening on the lawn at the Colony Apartments, 4220 Colony Plaza Drive. Check-in starts at 5:30 p.m., and Studio Fire leads a yoga and barre-style class from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Musashi Serenity Studio is offering free cupping and a sound bath afterward. Bring a mat or towel and water. Organizers ask people to register ahead, according to Charlotte On The Cheap.

Tricks-N-Treats at The Arboretum (Fri., Oct. 30)

The Arboretum Shopping Center, 8008 Providence Road, is holding a free Halloween event near its pond from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday. Kids can pick up a free pumpkin while supplies last, and there will be candy, costume fun and family activities. K104.7's Big Al is the host, per the event listing. Last Beats 'n Bites of the fall in Matthews (Fri., Oct. 30)

The fall season of the town's free concert series ends Friday at Stumptown Park, 120 S. Trade St. The rock band Pushh is playing. Food trucks and the park open at 5 p.m., the music starts at 6 p.m., and the park clears by 9 p.m. Craft beer is sold on site, but outside alcohol and pets are not allowed (service dogs are welcome). Free Krispy Kreme doughnut in costume (Fri. and Sat., Oct. 30-31)

Wear a costume to a participating Krispy Kreme on Friday or Saturday and you can get one free Original Glazed or Classic Ring doughnut, with no purchase needed. The limit is one per person, according to Krispy Kreme's Halloween announcement, as Charlotte On The Cheap reported. Nearby shops include Matthews at 9301 E. Independence Blvd. and Pineville at 8800 Pineville-Matthews Road. Not every shop takes part, so call ahead.
