If you haven't voted yet, Saturday, Oct. 31, is the last day of early voting in Mecklenburg County. All 25 early voting sites are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and during early voting you can use any site in the county, according to the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections and the N.C. State Board of Elections.
Not registered yet?
North Carolina allows same-day registration during early voting, so eligible residents can register and vote at the same visit. That option ends when early voting closes Saturday afternoon.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3
On Election Day you have to vote at your assigned polling place, not just any site. Polls are open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and anyone in line at 7:30 p.m. can still vote. You can look up your assigned precinct through the county elections office.
Voting by mail?
Mail ballots must be received by the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, according to the county's absentee voting page. If yours is still on the kitchen counter, don't count on the mail getting it there in time.
Results are made official when the county certifies the election on Nov. 13.
