Raising Cane's chicken fingers are headed to Pineville. The chain plans to tear down the former Buca di Beppo at 10915 Carolina Place Parkway, near Carolina Place mall, and build a new restaurant on the site, according to the Charlotte Observer's CharlotteFive and Charlotte Stories.
Where things stand
The project hit a small bump this week. County records showed the demolition permit was withdrawn on Oct. 26, WSOC reported, and other permits for the site were still pending. In an update, the Observer said a Raising Cane's representative confirmed the demolition permit was approved even though the records showed it as withdrawn. The plan is still to clear the old building and build new.
When will it open?
Raising Cane's has not announced an opening date for Pineville. Charlotte Stories says the Pineville location is still in permitting and is one of three planned for the Charlotte area, along with Gastonia and Concord, and that the company is hiring restaurant managers. The Observer, citing the Charlotte Business Journal, reported that the Concord and Gastonia restaurants are expected by 2027. The closest Raising Cane's right now is in Rock Hill, which opened in February at 520 John Ross Parkway, per the Observer.
About the site
Buca di Beppo closed its Pineville restaurant in August 2024 after about two decades on Carolina Place Parkway, the Observer reported at the time.
We'll post an update when the permits clear or Raising Cane's sets a date. For more around town, see our Pineville neighborhood guide.
