Home bakers in south Charlotte are getting a new place to shop. King Arthur Baking Company plans to open a pop-up store at Apex SouthPark starting Saturday, Nov. 7, according to SouthPark CLT, the area's community partnership. The Vermont-based flour company's Charlotte page lists the address as 4425 Sharon Road, Suite S160, Charlotte, NC 28211.
What to know
- Opening day: Saturday, Nov. 7. Charlotte on the Cheap lists grand opening hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and says the first 50 visitors get a free tote bag while supplies last.
- Where: Apex SouthPark on Sharon Road, next door to Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, per the Charlotte Business Journal.
- What's inside: Flours, baking mixes, sourdough starters, cookbooks, kitchen tools and hard-to-find appliances, according to SouthPark CLT.
- How long: The pop-up is expected to stay open through early 2028, SouthPark CLT says.
A first for North Carolina
The 4,300-square-foot shop is the company's first pop-up in North Carolina, according to the Business Journal's report as carried by WSOC. The space didn't need major renovations, so the company planned only minor branding and fixture updates, the report said. King Arthur's own page still says "Opening Fall 2026" and invites shoppers to text BAKENC to 27820 for updates, so check there for any last-minute changes before you go.
The opening lands just as holiday baking season gets going.
